RESIDENTIAL HOTELS

Four percent of San Francisco residents spend $600-$1,000 per month for an eight by ten foot room in a single room occupancy hotel. With few other housing options, SROs are the last resort for the city's 30,000 near homeless. These pictures were taken in the fall of 2007.
